Vacuum membrane glue, EVA emulsion is mixed with PUD glue and used with a curing agent to improve heat resistance, water resistance and bonding strength. It can pass GB/T 18583-2008, ROHS, REACH, phthalate 17P and other tests, and pass the Green Ten Ring certification.

The spray gun of 1.5-2.0㎡ can be sprayed normally, and the dry suction process can be blistered after 30 minutes at 25°C.

High initial bonding strength and good heat resistance

How to use Vacuum membrane adhesives?

1. Grind the surface and sides of the board to ensure that it is flat and smooth.

2. Choose a PVC film of appropriate thickness.

3. According to the thickness of the film and the need for high temperature resistance, ask the glue supplier to provide suitable film-pressed glue.

4. Spray the glue evenly on the board (the amount of glue applied to grooves and shaped parts needs to be increased) and place it in a dust-free open space.

5. Set the temperature and pressure of the blister machine according to the thickness of the film.

6. Put the board to be blistered into the blister machine for vacuum blistering.

7. After the blistering is completed, wait until the finished product drops to the appropriate temperature and cut it.

Application notes

  1. The moisture content of the board should be controlled at 8-12%. The surface of the board should be smooth, clean, with clear ravines and obvious undercuts.
  2. Mix the main agent (glue) and hardener in proportion, and stir thoroughly for 3-5 minutes until uniform. After the glue is prepared, please use it within 30 minutes. If it becomes thickened, clumped, or granulated, please stop using it and discard it. (The higher the indoor temperature, the shorter the time).
  3. The diameter of the spray gun is 1.5-2.0mm; the air pressure is 3-4kg/cm2. The distance between the spray gun nozzle and the surface to be sprayed is 150-200mm. When spraying glue, move in a straight line to make the thickness of the adhesive uniform.
  4. Dry laminating time: 30 minutes at 25℃ and 20 minutes at 35℃ to completely dry.
  5. The board needs to be air cleaned before blister forming and lightly polished if necessary.
  6. Backing plate: The area of the backing plate must be smaller than the workpiece, the thickness of the backing plate must be greater than the thickness of the workpiece, and the distance between workpieces must be greater than 2 times (height of workpiece + height of backing plate)
  7. Substrate, environment, adhesive temperature: 15-35℃ PVC softening temperature: 80-110℃, PVC film surface tension at 34-36 dynes
  8. Equipment parameters:

Heating temperature: 100-180℃ (the thicker the film, the higher the temperature)

Heating time: 90-240 seconds (the time will be longer if the skin is thicker, the groove is deeper, and the plate is thicker)

Cooling time: 10-30 seconds (when the temperature is low and the heating temperature is high, the time will be longer)

  1. After the workpiece comes out of the blister machine, it must be cooled to no higher than 10°C at room temperature before being trimmed. After the pressure is relieved, it should be aged for a period of time (more than 24 hours in winter; more than 18 hours in summer) before entering the next processing step. When testing is required, please test after 3 days to ensure accurate test results.

Q1. Why does the groove bulge?

A1. a. The amount of glue applied is not up to standard or the density of the board is too low, and the glue is absorbed into the board. b. The thickness of the PVC film is too thick and does not match the strength of the glue. c. The preheating (softening of the PVC film) or the blister molding time is not enough. d. The blister machine removes the pressure too early.

Q2. Why is there an “orange peel” phenomenon on the surface?

A2. a. The surface of the sheet is not polished. b. The temperature of the equipment is set too high. c. The pressure of the blister machine is set too low. d. The thickness of the PVC film is too thin.

Q3. Why does the surface have a “grainy” feel?

A3. a. The diameter of the glue spray gun is too large. b. The glue is sprayed unevenly, and there is too much glue in some areas. c. The surface of the board is not flat and smooth. d. The atomization effect of the glue itself is not good. e. The added curing agent is not stirred evenly.

Q4. Why can’t the sides of the finished product stick together?

A4.  a. The amount of glue applied on the side is not enough. b. The height of the pad is not enough. c. The spacing between the processed panels is too small. d. The pressure setting of the blister machine is too low. e. The bonding strength of the selected glue is not enough.

Q5. Why does the PVC film separate from the sheet when the finished product is exposed to high temperatures?

A5.  a. The selected glue has poor high temperature resistance. b. The glue is mixed without adding curing agent. c. The proportion of curing agent added does not meet the standard value.
